Wave Park Group supports Taj’s Small Fries

09 Jan 2014

Wave Park Group is pleased to announce that it has agreed to become a supporting partner of Taj’s Small Fries 2014 junior surfing contest to be held at Yallingup between 17 and 19 January 2014.

Now into its 9th year, the Small Fries event draws the most talented junior surfers and their families from both WA and around Australia to compete in a fun and friendly environment.

Unlike other competitions, West Australian professional surfer, Taj Burrow, is on hand to offer support and guidance to the boys and girls competing. With 110 competitors already signed up for the event, this year promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Two new awards have been created for this year’s event, being the “Wavegarden Innov8r Award” for the best manoeuvre of the competition and the “Wavegarden Frothy Grom Award” for the competitor judged to be having the most fun at the event. The winners of these awards will receive new iPad minis courtesy of Wave Park Group.

Wave Park Group’s Executive Chairman, Andrew Ross said, “we are delighted to be involved with Taj’s Small Fries event for 2014, which is the first sponsorship undertaken by the Wave Park Group in Australia.

He added, “the Small Fries contest has become one of Australia’s premier competitions for junior surfers, and it is the great mix of fun, high performance and mentoring at the event which has attracted us to support it. We are looking forward to growing our association with Taj’s Small Fries over the coming years.”
